0:00 Hello, my name is Samuel Hodge. 0:03 I am a person with a disability called Spina Bifida 0:07 and I am committed to living out God's mission, 0:10 which to me 0:12 means loving one another unconditionally. 0:15 In the year of 2024, 0:17 the theme for the International Day of People with Disability, is: 0:21 “Amplifying the leadership of persons with disabilities 0:24 for an inclusive and sustainable future.” 0:28 This theme reminds us of our call to support, 0:31 uplift, and embrace all people, 0:34 ensuring that our communities reflect 0:36 true inclusion and compassion. 0:39 Let’s Pray. 0:41 Lord God, 0:42 You have created us in your image. 0:45 May we love those around us, 0:47 especially those who live with disability 0:49 and illness. 0:51 Help us Lord 0:52 to be more inclusive with our actions 0:55 so that everyone feels Your love 0:57 through how we treat them. 0:59 Help us to see Your face 1:01 in those who are living with disability 1:03 and those who support them. 1:05 Lord, thank you for creating us 1:07 and giving us our own uniqueness. 1:10 Amen. 1:12 Let us commit to living out our call to inclusivity and love. 1:17 May we see and honour the unique gifts in every person 1:20 and work towards a world 1:22 where everyone is valued and embraced. 1:25 May our actions mirror God’s unconditional love, 1:29 nurturing a sense of genuine belonging for all.
